Athletic Trainer

The Athletic Training Room seeks an Athletic Trainer for the 2023-2024 school year.

Requirements:

• Current BOC Certification

• Current professional CPR and AED certification

• State license eligibility

• Valid driver’s license

Preferred:

• Master’s degree

• Strength and condition certified

• Experience in a residential boarding school setting

Primary Responsibilities:

• With the Head Athletic Trainer, coordinate medical care and coverage for all extracurricular

home activities/events for the school

• Within the scope of practice for an Athletic Trainer prevent, evaluate, treat, and rehabilitate

athletic injuries and refer to physician when necessary

• Provide immediate emergency care during all practices, games and events

• Be present for all assigned practices, games, and events

• Think quickly and critically under pressure to make independent decisions regarding the

assessment, treatment, rehabilitation of student athletes

• Mentor and guide student aids

• Coordinate the care of concussed students internally and externally.

• Communicate with the Health Center regarding student injuries and treatment

• Maintain timely and accurate medical records and documentation

• Minimal travel is required

Marianapolis does not offer Football or Ice Hockey. This position has the flexibility and ability

to be catered to the candidate’s future career goals and positioning. Depending on the candidate,
